About Charlotte Powell

(nee Crawley)

Charlotte Powell (Charlotte Crawley) qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2007 with BSc honours in Physiotherapy. Following graduation Charlotte went straight into children’s services and specialised in paediatric physiotherapy.

Charlotte started her career as part of the community paediatric team based at Coventry and Warwickshire Hospital in 2007. In 2008, the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy awarded her ‘Outstanding Newcomer of the year’. More recently in 2013 she moved to a senior paediatric physiotherapist position in East Staffordshire. She is still in this role part time and works in Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire.

Charlotte has a wealth of experience and specialised knowledge in treating many conditions affecting children. She has experience of treating babies to young adults with developmental delay, cerebral palsy, congenital disorders, neurological conditions and many more. Charlotte has experience of working in acute hospitals and community setting in clinics, patients’ homes, special and mainstream schools. Charlotte is specialised in Neurodevelopmental Techniques and Gait Analysis.

Charlotte set up Hopscotch Children’s Physiotherapy in 2014 to enable children to access more regular physiotherapy and to provide extra support to families. Since then the Hopscotch community has grown and Charlotte set up in her own treatment room in Ashby-de-la-Zouch in 2017.
